Playdough
activities, poking things into dough!
A fun way to play with dough is to poke and push bits and pieces into
the surface of homemade recipes, tubs of Hasbro's Play-Doh or ELC's - Early Learning Centre's Soft Stuff,
creating a range of tactile and educational experiences. Prod in
wax candles for pretend
birthday cakes or position LED diodes for electricity enthusiasts!
Plunge pieces of citrus
fruit peel or sprigs of lavender
into the body of your dough to enjoy relaxing, sensory activities that
lift kid's moods and helps to focus their attention.
Insert matchstick
rays of summer sunshine. Stick tails into balls of playdough and count
out a pond full of tadpoles. Jab in golfing tees to find out what
cl'awesome
eye stalks they are!
Dig in pasta shapes to build patterns and arrange twigs
to sculpt bird nests. And to enjoy the season role play with bunnies
in dough during Easter :)
The preschool toys and activity work sheets that are available
to print and buy across this website help to organise playtimes for children
after school, over the weekend and during school holidays.
With a few stashed tools
you'll be ever-ready to cure those boredom blues!
